30 Days of Night; Dark Days

In the excellent and actually blinkin’ scary 30 Days of Night, the Vampires are not soppy and they don’t drive Volvos. Enough said. (Plus: Josh Hartnett rocks.) But I didn’t realise that the movie (which filmed in New Zealand, of all places) was based on just the first installment in a series of comic books. So there’s lots and lots of original content still to come. Next up, the sequel: 30 Days of Night; Dark Days, aka Stella’s Revenge (I’m guessing).
