A Good Day to Die Hard – John McClane’s much awaited return, the 5th in the Die Hard series – is a total rubbish movie. There, I said it.

A-Good-Day-to-Die-Hard-review

There’s a dad-son thing, something about getting a Russian businessman out of the country. Which means: lots of chasing about, killing bad guys – McClane actually says: “Let’s kill some bad guys” – and explosions and punching and stuff. But there’s no purpose to it, no story, no tension, no real thrills, just boring fight sequences and flat jokes. An utterly depressing end to a fantastic movie series. At least, on this evidence, I hope it’s the end.
