I really really love this haunting, intense portrait of Matthew McConaughey as Newt Knight for the Free State of Jones poster. It just captures a moment – the passion, the horror, the madness – of the rebellion of poor white farmers and runaway slaves against the Confederacy during the height of the Civil War in a single image. The trailer too is awesome.
