Fun Fact though: David Oyelowo’s character in Gringo was originally “written for white.” As was his role in BBC espionage drama Spooks and the Netflix fiasco Cloverfield Paradox. As was Emerson, his character in Jack Reacher, as well as the district attorney he played in the 2014 Oscar Isaac/Jessica Chastain crime drama A Most Violent Year.
