A crowdfunded send-up of cheap 80s action movies, Kung Fury is about a Miami supercop who travels through time with his triceratops partner (yes, you read that right) to kill the evil kung-fu master known as Adolf Hitler. Along the way, there are fights with sentient arcade games, machine gun-wielding barbarian princesses, and the laws of physics are irreparably bent. The short premiered at Cannes, Thursday night it launched on YouTube and also made its world television premiere, on El Rey, the network created by Grindhouse director Robert Rodriguez.
