Martin Cuff has been a leading figure in the South African and indeed the global film industry for nearly two decades. A sought-after consultant, strategist, speaker, writer and trainer, he has worked all around the world to support and develop film production capacity.

Martin is an internationally-respected thought-leader in the field of filming-on-location, with contacts and business relationships in every filmmaking country on every continent. He is the former Executive Director of the Association of Film Commissioners International, the global body representing the interests of over 350 governments from more than 45 countries.

During his roles as the Film Commissioner of Colorado, and acting Film Commissioner of Cape Town and the Western Cape in South Africa, Martin helped facilitate thousands of film, TV, commercials and documentary productions. He was also responsible for overseeing the creation of the Cape Town Film Policy, and all of the businesses processes for issuing filming permissions in the City of Cape Town. Martin additionally helped establish the film commissions of Serbia, Georgia and Peru, and assisted with the creating of Film Incentive programmes in Serbia, Namibia and Georgia.

Now with his own production outfit, Martin combines extensive knowledge of needs of film production with deep understanding of how to work best with governments and their agencies. Working across four regions – Southern Africa, South America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, Martin is able to pull together a range of teams, equipment, talent and supporting infrastructure to assist with productions of any size, from documentary to tv commercial to television to feature film.
