Lordy, Pompeii is overblown. It’s terribly acted, the CGI is blousy and humungous, the fight scenes are frenetic and Kiefer Sutherland chews the scenery with what’d seem like false teeth. I couldn’t summon the enthusiasm to care about any single one of them. But then there’s Kit Harrington. He’s not even very good. But whatever, you decide. I actually secretly quite enjoyed it.
