I love an intelligent ad. This for a financial show on the global recession running on BBC World. On tv it’s soundtrack is a plinky, surreal version of Bowie/Queen “Under Pressure.” Classy.

Incredible India

I know I don’t normally discuss commercials, but I’m not getting to watch many movies of my choice here in Belgrade and this Indian Tourism advert – Incredible India – is too brilliant not to mention. Love it.

Incidentally, there are great reports coming out about the resilience of advertising as a production form – a report from ABC suggests that viewers can actually tolerate TWICE the number of ads (don’t know about that). PVR isn’t affecting ad viewership particularly either…..
