Harvey Weinstein has basically buried Amelie director Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s latest: The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet. The movie, which the Weinstein Company purchased in 2013, was slipped into theaters without screening for press or even informing them of its long-delayed U.S. release. The company even refused to confirm its release by email when contacted….

The reason for such shoddy treatment? Mr. Weinstein wants to edit it. It looks beautiful though, and the 3-D is apparently brilliant – and then there’s the soundtrack (hello Cloud Atlas.) Let’s make it a huge hit?
